With its numerous product developments and problem-solving initiatives, the brush factory is one of the industry’s innovative pacesetters. Through custom-made products, it makes its decades of experience in the development and manufacture of twisted wire brushes available to customers worldwide. Production capacities range from prototypes to large-scale series production.
Europe’s Largest Manufacturer
The Schellenberger brush factory maintains an extensive warehouse of raw materials and continuously invests in its machinery. This makes the company Europe’s largest manufacturer of twisted brushes.
Family-Run
Since June 2008, Managing Director Wolfgang Schellenberger and his wife Gisela have modernized and restructured the long-established company – founded in 1907 – to ensure even faster and more efficient collaboration with customers and suppliers.
Quality Promise
Since June 2011, the brush factory has been certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2008, and since 2017, it has been the only company in the industry to manufacture medical brushes according to the medical standard DIN EN 13485. The diversity of the product range and the associated manufacturing capabilities, as well as the machinery, are continuously being renewed and expanded.
A Location with a Future
In 2012, the opening of a new administration building created the necessary facilities for training courses and conference rooms to accommodate larger groups.
Family-Friendliness
As a traditional, medium-sized family business, Schellenberger is an employer that takes its responsibility towards its employees seriously. Particular emphasis is placed on family-friendliness: “We know how difficult it is for employees to balance work and family life. Reconciling family and career is especially important to us,” says Managing Director Gisela Schellenberger in an interview. Accordingly, it is possible to work part-time even in key positions, and the company’s flexible working hours policy enables a family-friendly work organization.
Skilled Workers
Despite innovative work concepts, the shortage of skilled workers is also noticeable for Schellenberger, especially with regard to qualified personnel for the production of twisted brushes and the maintenance and further development of the machinery. To counteract this and to continue passing on the knowledge of traditional craftsmanship, the brush factory is increasingly focusing on training, for example, as brush and brush makers, industrial mechanics, and in the commercial sector.
