Construction of a twisted brush

Our well-stocked warehouse contains everything we need to manufacture your custom brush: from the brush base and bristles to wires, threads, and high-quality handles and shafts. As an innovative and responsible company, we use modern specialty materials (such as silver plating or nano-coating) upon request and conduct regular quality tests. We are also happy to process components you provide and integrate them into your hand-rolled brush.

The brush head is very versatile and can perform a secondary function in addition to cleaning the inside of pipes. For example, a tied-on tassel transforms our twisted brush into a paintbrush.

Bent eyelet, rounded or threaded: Tailored to your requirements, our brush feet are available in a wide variety of sizes, versions and materials.

Trimming material

Schellenberger Bürstenfabrik GmbH uses only high-quality bristle material, which our experts perfectly match to the intended use of your twisted brush. This includes, for example:

• Animal hair such as horsehair, pig bristles, goat hair or sheep wool
• Synthetic materials such as polyamide, polypropylene, PVC or PBT
• Plant-based fabrics such as bassine, arenga or cotton
• Metals such as cast steel, stainless steel, bronze or brass

Further stocking material is available upon request.

Handles & Stems

In addition to our brush range, we offer a wide selection of different handles and shafts (optionally with eyelet or thread). These are available both to match your brushes and separately.

twist wires

For the twisted brushes, we use galvanized or bare steel wires, rust- and acid-resistant wires, non-ferrous wires, and non-ferrous metal wires as the twisting wire. We primarily work with three different wire forms:

• round wire
• split wire
• Oval wire

Our preferred twisted wire is round wire. Compared to the other two twisted wire forms, it is more affordable and can be processed by machine.
